Vialchemy Privacy Policy

Vialchemy is a personal tracker. It records what you enter: injections, check-ins, fasting, food, workouts, supplies and related health data. The short version: your data stays on your devices and in your own iCloud. We don't collect it, see it, sell it or share it.
What the app stores
Everything you log, including progress photos and documents you add to the Library, is stored on your device. If you're signed into iCloud, it also syncs through your private iCloud database so your other Apple devices get it. Apple holds that data under your Apple Account. We have no access to it.
Apple Health
With your permission, Vialchemy reads weight, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep, steps, active energy, exercise time, water, protein, body fat, waist and blood pressure from Apple Health, so you don't have to type them in. It can save the weight, water, caffeine and blood pressure you log back to Apple Health. You can change these permissions at any time in the Health app or iOS Settings.
Data from Apple Health is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with anyone else. It's only used to show your own records back to you inside the app.
What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-ups in the app, and no servers of our own holding your log.
- No analytics, advertising, tracking or third-party SDKs.
- No selling or sharing of your data.
On-device AI
Features such as quick log and weekly summaries use Apple's on-device model where your iPhone supports it. That processing happens on your iPhone, and nothing is sent anywhere.
Ask Claude (optional)
Ask Claude is off unless you add your own Anthropic API key. When you use it, your question and the parts of your log needed to answer it (such as doses, check-ins, fasting, lab results and supplies) are sent over an encrypted connection to Anthropic, which provides the Claude model. Progress photos are never sent. Your key is stored only in this device's Keychain. Anthropic handles that data under its own privacy policy, and you're billed by Anthropic directly.
Beta sign-up on this website
If you sign up for the beta on vialchemy.app, we keep your email address (and first name, if you give it) so we can send you a TestFlight invite and news about the beta. It's stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this site, and is never sold or shared. To be removed, email hello@vialchemy.app. This is separate from the app: nothing you log in Vialchemy is connected to it.
Notifications and widgets
Reminders are scheduled on your device. Widgets and Live Activities read your data from the app on the same device.
Exports
When you export or back up your data, the file is created on your device and goes only where you choose to save or send it.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete all data removes your records from this device and, through iCloud sync, from your other devices. The app first saves a backup to Files, which you can delete yourself. Deleting the app removes its local data. You can also manage iCloud data in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud.
Health information
Vialchemy records what you enter. It doesn't give medical advice and never recommends doses. Talk to your prescriber about your treatment.
Children
Vialchemy isn't intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
